In this journal, Takala, together with his colleague Auvinen, highlights the unsuccessful facet of some leaders. Adolf Hitler is one of the leaders who are considered unsuccessful. He was democratically placed in power in 1933 after serving as a German chancellor. Takala and Auvinen consider the construction of the leadership roles, which entails manipulation. From their perspective, Adolf Hitler got obsessed with a thirst for vengeance while in power. As a result, he began misusing the power granted unto him. He embraced a dictatorial form of leadership which made him conquer most of Europe by December 1941. His leadership was unsuccessful since he was selfish and was driven by insatiable blood lust.
