Record a ten second video with some kind of original, scripted action, without any dialogue or sound. You can
make your scene as complexly filmed and edited as you would like, or you can keep it to a simple shot.
Taking that exact same footage twice, create two different mood versions using two very different scores (not
soundtracks) to accompany the action, changing the emotion, tone and understanding of the action. In other
words, use ONLY sound to directly change the audience’s interpretation behind the action you filmed. (You do
not have to create your own music – but please do not use the music that comes in the editor program.) You
are isolating music – do not change any other cinematic elements, including adding sound effects or changing
saturation.
Label the mood you are going for in each. Strive to create very different mood effects that still make logical
interpretation sense with your action.
