King Edward VII College Student feedback The following are excerpts from feedback responses that students have sent the College over the previous year. The responses were submitted anonymously. Overall rating: How would you rate the College on the following scale? Excellent: 29 Good: 46 Okay: 21 Not good: 3 Terrible: 1 Comments: I had a great time at the College. Great teachers, great facilities, and the students were just fantastic. Some of them are my best friends now. The coursework was good, and I liked the modern workstations. I would have liked the teaching staff to have more time for us. There is an online chat service which is not too bad, but I would much prefer to speak to a person. Especially when I am on campus virtually every day. This whole year has been good. I think that I took too many units last year, and this year I seem to have the mix just right. I have plenty of time for homework during the week, so I can work all week-end. If anything, I would like more face-to face time with the teachers. Sometimes I feel that I am spending too much time reading and doing exercise online. It was a great year. I would recommend the College to my friends. The facilities are not bad considering the course fees that I pay. The workstations are quite modern, and the internet is quick. Not enough teaching staff. The teachers there are good, but it is difficult to get hold of them outside of the classroom hours. I really liked the class work. My group has been really inclusive and supportive this year, which I really appreciated because this is my first year in Australia. The College has been great. Good campus, centrally located, friendly admin staff, too. That is something that you don’t always get today. The teaching staff were great, and I would have liked more class time. That was the best part of the course, really, the teachers. All really great people. They seemed a bit under pressure at times, but they were always ready to answer a question. Very good. I would definitely recommend it to others. This is the best school that I have ever attended. Keep up the good work! I had a very interesting year and I learned a lot. I will come back here if I need more schooling. I could never get hold of a teacher when I needed one. It was very frustrating at times. I found the college to be very good. The classes were interesting, and the study guides were useful. I enjoyed using the workstations, but there could have been a few more of them. The course was good, and it was pretty much what I needed to get ahead at work. I had the feeling sometimes, however, that the College is just a money-making machine. We pay our fees, and there seems to be no shortage of students, but the teachers are often running around doing too much work. Some of them seemed to be very stressed. That is a pity because they were all very good. Surely the College has enough money to hire enough teachers? Good quality training, knowledgeable teachers. All good. It was a great year. I made friends, learned lots of interesting stuff and, somewhere in there, I completed my Cert IV. Wonderful! Very good. I have already recommended it on Facebook. I liked the College. Clean rooms and good workstations. It was a great course. I wasn’t aware that there were so many things that I didn’t know. I gave the College and “Excellent” because it is. Thank you.
