Which article do I critically analyse?You must critically analyse the stimulus article indicated on page 2, point 5 of the AT1 Guide.2. Do I have to use journal articles to provide empirical evidence?Yes. You must use journal articles to provide empirical evidence for the critical analysis of the claims.3. Do I have to generate a “marked up” document like the example critical analysis identifying whether a claim issubstantiated or not?No. We are NOT expecting you to “mark-up” the stimulus article in the way that has been done in the ExampleCritical Analysis. The example is just a guide to show you how you can approach your critical analysis of the stimulusarticle. Refer to the second half of the example for a critical analysis of a different stimulus article.4. How recent must the journal articles be?You should aim for up-to-date research. For this assignment, aim for journal articles published within the last twodecades. If there is a seminal journal article published earlier than that, you may include it but you will need toexercise your judgement here. Please note, what is considered “up-to-date” in other units/courses depends on thenature of the assignment. If in doubt, check with your Lecturer.5. What’s the minimum and maximum number of journal articles I need to include?There is no set minimum or maximum. However, zero is unacceptable.6. Does the stimulus article count as a journal article?No.7. Do we have to use in-text citations if…Yes. If the idea or information is not your own, then you need to indicate where it came from. DO NOT copy andpaste large sections of other sources into your assignment. This is considered academic misconduct, even if you putquotation marks around the information, or you change a few words here and there). You will be shown how to conducta literature search in Class B of Weeks 3 and 4. These will be recorded so you can listen/re-listen to them.12. Does the assignment have to be formatted in APA style?Yes. You must adhere to all APA style guidelines for the paper format (including the title page, font, page header, linespacing, margins, paragraph alignment and indentation, and headings), the in-text citations, and the references.15. When do we get our results back?The College has a 15-working-day turnaround policy for releasing assignment results from the date of submission.We will try to release them earlier, but we expect marking to take the full 15 working days.16. Should I submit at the last minute?No. DO NOT leave the submission of your assignment until the last minute. A penalty will be applied for assignmentssubmitted late (i.e., after the due date).
