Requirements for Essay VI
Your 500-word essay will be an entertaining introduction of your AUTHOR based on the material you used for the slides you created for our last class. In your essay, be sure to include:
A short biographical statement—This could be a bio with information taken from your author’s web page, in an anthology, or on the program of an earlier awards ceremony.
Your author’s words—One or two lengthy statements by your author about why or how they write fiction.
Praise for your author’s short stories or books—At least two statements from other writers or critics about your author’s work.
Give your opinion of your story and be sure to support your opinion with passages from your story. Answer the question, “Why should my author win this award?”
