Overview: Each student will select 3-5 public companies ( Cocacola, Tesla, and Disney) whose historic stock prices are listed on Yahoo! Finance. Each student will be asked to develop a strategy for investing a specific sum of money. At the end of the semester, each student will submit a report (10 pages). Each student will discuss the economic condition, industry/sector condition, and firm’s financial analysis by downloading a 10-K from SEC Edgar (https://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html) and analyzing it. The paper should be based the following criteria: (1) the evaluation of the company’s financial performance (liquidity, leverage, profitability, and asset management); (2) relation of economic/industry environment to the company’s financial performance.
