You are the Artistic Producer at a major American theater. Your season includes five plays: Oedipus Rex, Richard III, Waiting for Godot, One for the Road, and The Piano Lesson. Describe and defend WHY you are producing these titles for audiences in 2021. In your narrative, identify themes and ideas in each play and connect those ideas to issues/events going on today (and in the recent past) to demonstrate how they are relevant to our people and our culture. (There are five titles; each title and defense is worth 20 points.)”
