Prepare a brief review of an article you read from another source (not the textbook) that discusses privatization of government functions. You could find an article in a source such as the Wall Street Journal, other newspaper, government or employee blog, etc. that discusses the attempt of a government agency to privatize a function. It does not have to be law enforcement, but there are many current examples in the news (i.e. defunding of the police). Write a review of that article explaining what you learned, if you agree with the privatization effort, what the goals are, and if there are more facts you’d like to know (missing from the article). Your article should not be just about defunding or eliminating a function, but should have a privatization element. This article review should be at least 2 pages and does not require additional research. Please consider picking an article in which there is likely some difference of opinion rather than a simply technical or descriptive reading.
