Explain why this particular astronauts expertise and background may help you find solutions to your ecological issue.
Blog Post #5
As youve learned, astronauts have varied experiences including multiple subject areas and backgrounds. Choose one astronaut (either one of the ones already mentioned or a different one) who may be able to help you brainstorm solutions to protect or restore your ecological issue. Plastic Pollution
Write a blog post explaining why, or inviting your astronaut to come and help you
problem solve the ecological issue.
Explain why this particular astronauts expertise and background may help you find solutions to your ecological issue.
Identify three Transferable Skills that this astronaut would possess and explain how this would benefit them in their career.
For example: If I were studying oil extraction from the Alberta Oil Sands I may choose Dr. Jennifer Sidey, a Canadian astronaut. I would explain in my blog post that I chose her to help me brainstorm solutions for making the Oil Sands more environmentally friendly because she has worked extensively in the area of flames within internal combustion engines (and how to make them create fewer pollutants). She has also worked in the area of conventional and alternative energy production. This experience would help me in understanding the Alberta Oil Sands and how to assess the pollutants being created and to help me think of new ways of processing the Oil Sands.

Success Criteria:
I introduced the astronaut I chose and explained some of their educational background or experience.
I explained how their experience or education may help me study or propose solutions for my ecological issue.
I listed three Transferable Skills this astronaut may possess and how this would serve them in their career.

What extraneous confounding variables may have influenced the findings?
Attached Under Article Review Paper Revised 2016:
Step 1 Find an article
Find a current (within the last 10 years) scholarly article that describes the processes and outcomes of an original research experiment. The UC library will allow you to access databases of current journal articles. PsycINFO and PsycARTICLES are two excellent search engines for articles in the field. ERIC is also an excellent resource for both psychology and education. When accessing these databases, look for peer reviewed journal articles, and be sure they have the full text available.
Look for a scholarly psychological article published in a journal
Be sure it is related to development (population is 25 years or younger)
It is an experiment or correlational study (identify the variables and method)
It was published within the last 10 years
Original experiments often use headings and you should be able to identify the following parts of the study fairly easily (after the literature review):
Method, Participants, Measures, Procedures, Results, Discussion
Step 2 Describe the Study (2-3 pages)
Your paper needs to begin with an introduction to the article (no abstract is needed), followed by a summary which answers the following questions (write in 3rd person):
What was the major research question that was being addressed?
Did the authors test a particular theory or hypothesis? Describe.
Who were the participants?
How was the research conducted? Describe the method and measurement tools.
What were the results?
Were the authors hypotheses supported?
Did the authors mention any limitations to the study?
Did the authors describe any future research suggestions?
Step 3 Critique (1-2 pages)
The second part of the paper needs to include an evaluation of the study. Some questions that would assist in making a good critique might include:
How effectively was the study conducted? (For example: how representative was the sample? What other variables did they consider that might influence their outcome? Did they control for any of these?)
How reliable were the measures? (Did they used an established instrument, or create their own?) Did they discuss reliability and validity of the instruments used?
What extraneous confounding variables may have influenced the findings?
Did the authors conclusions make sense based on the data?
Are there any limitations to the study that the authors failed to mention?
How generalizable are the findings?
What future research studies could build on the current findings?
Step 4
Write a concluding paragraph summarizing your thoughts about the article (stay in 3rd person).

Discuss the role of a public health nurse is to promote public wellness.
Please respond to each post as if responding to a colleague in a discussion post in class. Each post requires at least a 200 word response. Thank you.
PB Post 1. Public health nurses play a critical role in improving population health outcomes by educating communities and delivering care within them. In this leadership position, registered nurses are able to make positive changes through policy reform and community-building. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. public health nurses have served on the frontlines, not only treating patients but also educating them about the disease, tracing their contacts, and delivering self-isolation guidance. Basically, a public health nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who advocates for positive changes in population health. This exciting career gives nurses the opportunity to work directly within communities to educate people and give them the tools they need to improve their health outcomes.
Discuss the role of a public health nurse is to promote public wellness. In this capacity, nurses focus on helping underserved and at-risk individuals gain access to the care they need. The main goal of public health nurses is to help prevent disease and reduce health risks at the population level through evidenced-based care and education.
When someone is sick with a fever or a cold, the public health will look into what causes the person to get the cold or the fever and then provide treatment to the the person. The public health nurses main responsibilities are to evaluating the health of patients and creating treatment plans, monitoring patients for any changes in condition, delivering top-quality care alongside physicians, educating patients about available support services and helping them access care,
emphasizing primary prevention in order to avoid disease or injury before it occurs and
working with public health officials to help underserved communities gain access to care.
The clinical nurse in the other hand, provides direct patient care, take an important role in improving healthcare delivery systems. the clinical nurse has a lot of responsibilities from teaching, managing, researching, consulting to clinical practice. They perform initial assessments, document medical history and vital statistics, verify accuracy of information in records, and ensure all medical orders are followed correctly. They provide hands-on care, drawing upon their clinical knowledge. They may also oversee training programs and provide instruction to nursing students.
While public health nurse and clinical nurse job responsibilities might have some similarities and some differences, their actual goals are to improve and promote public wellness.
RM Post 2. I have been a Hospital Corpsman, Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), Licensed Practical Nurse, and Registered Nurse. Throughout all of these roles in the medical field, I have usually only dealt with one individual at time or their families. The term patient used to refer to the single individual you were treating, educating, or taking care of at the time. Just like there are multiple roles in nursing, there are multiple types of patients. The term patient is no longer exclusive to the one individual a healthcare professional is taking care of. Now the term patient can refer to a group or community.
Where clinic nurses assess one patient, a public health nurse can be assessing a group, community, or larger population. For example, a patient with lung cancer is assessed by a clinical nurse, and they focus on the individual by asking if they smoke, what is their occupation, etc. A public health nurse looks broader in their scope of inquiry. The public health nurse looks to see how many smokers are in the community, their ages, what type of tobacco they use, how many cases of lung cancer are in this group, do they share an occupation such as coal miner or factory worker, etc.
One of the most significant differences between a clinical nurse and a public health nurse is that the public health nurse does not wait for patients to come to them with an illness (Goodwin University, 2020, para. 7). Public health nurses perform community assessments, prevention, and screening services. Public health nurses work at the grassroots level for health promotion and disease prevention. Clinic nurses usually only see patients when they are sick or only perform health education to one patient, while a public health nurse performs these duties on a larger scale.
Clinical nurses are singular in their focus as they treat the here and now. They want to save and to improve lives in that moment of time (Goodwin University, 2020, para. 8). Public health nurses are the exact opposite of clinic health nurses. They want to help people with their health on a much broader scale over a longer period of time. There is no instant prognosis or treatment in public health nursing. Treatment and education can take months or years in communities to see any sort of changes in behavior or any statistical difference from their work in the communities they help.

Explain the implications this information has for understanding the district context and addressing the needs of students and their families.
This is a research project to gather the demographic statistics, analyze those data, and explain the related implications of those data on the Richmond Virginia district and community. Following are the explanations of those parts:
1. Demographic Data Report:
Community Demographic Data Report: Gather demographic statistics for the surrounding community. The chamber of commerce or local government agency should be able to supply the community data. This is to be reported in chart or graph form and is to include the following: race/ethnicity, language, age, gender, income/socioeconomic status, religion, educational attainment, and unemployment rate. If some data are not available, simply report those categories as N/A. Cite the sources of your data.
District Demographic Data Report: Gather demographic statistics for the district. The district information is usually available from the district office. This is to be reported in chart or graph form and is to include the following: race/ethnicity, language, age, gender, income/socioeconomic status, religion, educational attainment, and unemployment rate of district parents. If some data are not available, simply report those categories as N/A. Cite the sources of your data.
2. Demographic Data Analysis: Complete an analysis in narrative form, highlighting significant findings and comparing the district and community data. Include an explanation of how you collaborated with specific stakeholders to collect and analyze the data.
3. Implications: Explain the implications this information has for understanding the district context and addressing the needs of students and their families. Discuss how collaborative efforts with specific stakeholders informed your understanding of the implications. Also, align these implications with specific district-level plans to show that your building-level efforts in community relations are in line with district-level efforts.

Is pornography sexually immoral?
Pick one or more ethical theories to justify your beliefs about the topic.
Conduct quality research on the topic and present that research. A good topic of choice will feature at least five professional sources. Unbiased articles and academic studies are best. You may use reputable news media (Newsweek, Time, government publications, and websites), but these do not count toward your total references requirement (five required). Do not use encyclopedias, dictionaries, Wikipedia, and popular forums or Internet websites.
Create a 10-minute slide-style presentation with accompanying audio. Refer to the Presentation Guide for other available software options. Present both sides of the issue fairly; then justify your viewpoint. End with at least three ethical discussion questions about the topic. Include a slide that lists your references in APA format (see the presentation outline section). Make sure your presentation features an appropriate number of slides and presents the information as clearly as possible. Avoid including slides with too many words, lack of clarity, and poor grammar. Use illustrations where appropriate. Utilize the notes section of the slide for large chunks of text or supporting information.
If you just write the script ill do the slides.
If you could write for pornography being immoral that would be best.
