For this assignment, you are going to go through the nine “Protecting Local Computing Devices” steps listed within the “Protecting Local Computing Devices” sub-section of Chapter 9 (on page 203 and 204) in the Cybersecurity Essentials textbook … preferably on your own computer (but if you are on a CWU (or other) computer, I want you to go through the steps as best you can).
As you go through steps 1 – 9, I want you to take a screenshot of each step and then write about why you need to do those things in order to protect that computer. You do not need to write more than 50-100 words per step.
In order for this all to make sense, I recommend that you first read through Chapter 9 of your Cybersecurity Essentials textbook before starting on this assignment.
Each of the nine steps is worth 2 points apiece. Spelling and grammar do count and if you use anything other than the textbook, please be sure to cite your references using the APA style format. Spelling and grammar are worth 5 points total for the assignment so please use a spelling and grammar checker such as the one provided within Microsoft Word. Check your work and pay attention to the details.
