NPP6102 Adult Health Practice- potential post-operative complications

This assessment requires you to respond to a case study to examine the potential post-operative complications, and to utilise knowledge and clinical decision making to inform priorities of care and interventions.

Case study questions

Q1. Introduction- introduce the case study. Key areas of focus for the introduction part – include a summary of the case that briefly identifies your priority areas of care and outlines the focus of your assessment.

Q2. Discuss four (4) priority areas of care for Jo for the first 24 hours based on her current presentation. Support each of the priority areas with evidence (literature). Your arguments should also be linked to Jo’s case study.

Q3. For each of the priority areas you have stated above, describe the nursing interventions you would undertake to care for Jo. Your interventions should be supported with rationale.
