MGMT 303 Business Ethics-strong government and community relations

Continuing from assignment #1, you have been hired as the new CEO of a local nonprofit agency in your community.  You have now settled into your new role and have a good sense of your organizational culture, stakeholders, and board governance model.  

Based on what you have learned from your Chapter 6-10 readings, write a four-page commentary discussing the following:

• As the CEO, outline your approach that will ensure your organization has strong government and community relations.
• Given the recent trends in fund development in Canada, how would you approach your integrated development program?  Justify and explain why you have taken this approach.  
• Why is strategic management important for your non profit organization?  Describe your strategic planning process for your organization. Justify and explain why you have taken this approach.  
• Performance management is said to be a strategic management tool.  Thinking about preparing from impact, what elements of performance management would you include in your organization? Justify and explain why you have taken this approach and how you will build capacity for evaluation in your organization.
• Describe your financial management process and the importance financial management for non profit organizations. 

In your commentary you will explore these discussion points, share what you have learned, and provide your own opinion, interpretation, analysis, and recommendations.  You may also seek out real life examples to help enhance your commentary.

Cite all your work using APA Format
Use at least four outside sources (one must be your text book)
