The healthcare system has improved in the use of technology. The technology helps medical professionals communicate with the patients and offer treatment services at ease. The availability of the services to the population is essential in ensuring that the medical services reach all people. Although technology is crucial in the health care system, it has imposed some challenges on the healthcare system.
One of the challenges with improving the healthcare system is security issues (Jagadeeswariet al., 2018). There are a lot of people who can assess the data and thus create its vulnerability. The healthcare facility has a privacy policy where the patient’s data is private and confidential. When the data is available, it is prone to hacking and loss. The next challenge is it slows down the patient’s turnover time. The patients need to take the least time possible in the hospital. The improvement of the technology allows the patient’s data to be captured by the healthcare professional at every single level. Thus few patients are attended to every day. It poses a challenge to healthcare professionals because they have to be trained on using the software or systems. Thus it presents extra costs to the facility to take care of the patient’s knowledge. The overall implementation of the technology in the hospitals is sometimes a challenge because the facility has to take care of the population every other time.
In conclusion, hospitals’ technology improvement is crucial when upgrading the system, but it has some challenges. The patients, however, can receive treatment at ease but implementing the program is a challenge to the hospital. Some technology advancement is very complicated to be used and thus needs some expertise.
