Remember current flow through the cooling fan circuit is different during low and high-speed operation.
When the engine reaches a predetermined temperature the low-speed circuit is commanded on, as the temperature of the engine continues to rise the high-speed circuit is commanded on.
When the high-speed circuit is commanded on the low-speed circuit remains on.
These faults can have different affects during both high and low speeds.
