Article VI – Supervision of works
The field supervision of the execution of works shall be carried out by a supervising body set up by the project management team. The contractor must comply with all instructions and written instructions of the project management team as related by the supervising body within the limits of the powers of the contractor and as stipulated in the TORs. The supervising body shall ensure full compliance in the spirit of cooperation and according to the following instructions:
Any work that does not conform to the specifications, levels and measurements specified in the plans shall not be paid. Furthermore, the contracting authority reserves the right to request from the contractor the replacement of such works at the contractor’s expense and responsibility. Otherwise the supervising body shall execute it at the expense and responsibility of the contractor.

CHAPTER II: SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Special specifications
Includes cutting and welding metallic material according to the adopted Structural Shop Drawings dimensions shown in Annex I & II taking into account the following specifications:
Reinforced concrete works
Only ready mix concrete supported by an official certificate from the ready mix concrete company is acceptable for the construction of slabs and according to the following specifications:
High Sulfate Resistant Portland Cement (Grade V); British Standard BS 5328
Water/Cement ≤ 0.45
Minimum Resistance XX MPa
Nominal reinforcement cover greater than 35mm
The contractor must present the official certificates from the ready mix concrete companies to ensure the quality of the concrete according to the specifications listed above.
