Personal Code of Ethics
Professional Commitment
As a professional administrator, I aspire to create a school environment that fosters empowerment, creativity, empowerment, trust, honesty, and valuing the potential of staff members. The teachers and staff will thrive in knowing they can depend on the administrator to be just and professional. Other professional responsibilities will include;
Taking strategic steps in solving unethical situations
Following all laws, rules, policies, and procedures within my profession, regardless of my personal views about them
Implement and support objectives that promote the growth of teachers and students
Avoid using my status for personal gain
Honor my employment contract, refrain from establishing intimate relationships with students, educators, and staff, and support my profession through appropriate use of social media.
Leadership Responsibilities
Promote a clear vision to the teachers, students, parents, staff, and the overall community as they pertain to the direction of the school
Appropriately delegate duties to fulfill my primary administrator duties
Appropriately managing my time to focus more on fulfilling the students’ interests
Motivate change and strategic action to solve problems as they arise
Responsibility to Students, Parents, Employers, and Community
Be transparent with, respect, and maintain healthy relationships with students that foster their education
Maintain proactive communication with parents and guardians, and maintaining professional relationships with them to enhance students’ well being
Act in accordance to the rules or laws set in place by the local or district policies regarding the ethical and professional use of materials, resources, facilities, and other intellectual property
Collaborate with several different stakeholders within the community to foster student excellence and exemplary achievements.
This code of ethics will be essential in directing my daily responsibilities and duties to stakeholders within the school environment and the outside community environment. It will also enhance my adherence to professional administration, with the main aim being the fulfillment of student interests and achievements, while also involving their parents/guardians and the community as a whole.
