Literature Search Method: CINAHL electronic database was searched for “interventions for preventing urinary tract infection” AND “nurse-led-initiative.” Search limits were: “full text,” “published date (2015 – 2019)”, “English language,” “research article,” “peer-reviewed,” and “the first author is a nurse.”
The purpose of this quantitative study was to implement a “nurse-led initiative of peer-to-peer teaching” to demonstrate nurses understanding and ability to follow precautions to prevent catheter-associated urinary tract infections (p. 324).

Literature Search Method: PubMed electronic database was searched for “qualitative study” AND “health care-associated infections” AND “health care workers perspectives.” Search limits were: “full text,” “published in the last 5 years”, “Humans,” “English,” and “Field: Text Word.”
The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to evaluate nurses and other health care workers motivation to abide by the rules and to perform the necessary tasks to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
