Answer the following questions as thoroughly as possible, making specific reference to the film.
1. Which groups are involved in this battle? Provide at least four examples of different nationalities, ethnicities, religions, or other origins for individual participants.

3. Describe the British army. Who leads them? What are their (rough) numbers, weapons, supplies, and general condition? What differences in pay exist between the various members of the British army?
4. What factors contributed to the British victory? How did the British army follow up their victory? Why did they do these things?
5. Does this battle seem to be part of larger, longer-term processes? Why was this battle important? We know that it was the last major land battle fought in Britain, but does this battle help us understand why it was the last battle?
6. This film was made in 1964 by a documentary filmmaker known for radical and pacifist politics (Peter Watkins). What contemporary events might have inspired him to make this film, and influenced the way that he did so?
