MLA Citation Exercise –
This exercise should be a review on how to do entries on a Works Cited page and how to do in-text citations in an essay. To do this exercise, you can use whatever reference book you may have that explains MLA 2016 or later. Our textbook, RWL, has a small section on MLA citations on pages 148-164. Or, you can go to owl@purdue.edu for a great online resource.
Part One Directions:
Read through the instructions on this document.
Open a new document on which to complete this assignment. Do NOT do this assignment on this page.
Create a Works Cited entry for each of the following.
Put the document in alphabetical order.
Make sure the document is in 12 pt. Times New Roman font and double-spaced.
Remember, the first line of each entry should be up against the left-hand margin (1”) and each subsequent line for that entry should be indented one tab.
Please note: All the information you will need to do a Works Cited entry is below, and in fact, there may be too much information. You need to sort through and only pull up the information that is pertinent. Also, the information below may not be capitalized correctly, so you will need to follow the rules of capitalization for titles even if the original source does not.
