Paper 1 – Gender Norms
Assignment: The film, The Mask You Live In, suggests the boys and young men are ensnared in an emotionally discouraging trap, one that privileges oozing masculinity no matter the cost. Girls and young women face restrictions, too, that lead to harmful outcomes. In a thoughtful, well-written essay, I challenge you to consider the ways boys/young men and/or girls/young women are restricted by conventional gender roles.
Expectations
