Personal Plan
After leaving university, I would like to be a market researcher, account executive or media buyer. A market researcher gathers information on consumers, markets, and competitors. Afterwards, they give a report and presentation. Moreover, they develop surveys that enable them to understand the preferences of the consumers. On the other hand, an account executive helps clients make business plans to attain goals and manage sales by finding new opportunities. Finally, a media buyer’s responsibilities involve purchasing media placements advertised on different platforms and creating strategies that ease media buying, such as negotiating media prices for their clients (Veer et al., 2018).
Most importantly, I am destined to explore potential markets worldwide and keep track of dynamic markets for particular goods and services. By doing so, clients will be able to understand the market conditions, thus aiding their businesses. Determination is what I value as a breakthrough to achieving the desired goals. When a person becomes determined, they become creative and innovative, hence persisting in any difficulties. Therefore, if any hardship arises in my career path, persistence will aid in accomplishing the goals. My mission is to come up with strategies that improve the marketing of products. For example, regular communication with my clients will create positive understanding, hence developing a long-term relationship and improving markets. The following three questions guide my choices; what are my interests? What are my skills? How do I positively impact people’s lives?
There is an increased demand for market researchers due to their roles’ increased agency projects and value. Market researchers are the backbone of industries because they collect information on the market and customers, thus helping those industries maintain competition. Then again, account executives aid in attaining customer satisfaction by handling the relationship between a client and a vendor. Therefore is a growing demand for account executives. Although there is a reported drop in the need for media buyers, the career remains vital because it is the essence to brand awareness. Media buyers are strategic thinkers that improve sales by creating media campaigns (Gunn et al., 2020).
For companies worldwide that are looking for persons with the best marketing strategies, I can showcase creativity and innovation in fast-changing environments. I have good analytical skills and business awareness.
With my skills, I can assure my employers of a longer-term relationship between them and their customers. A company will develop with my proper business planning and organization. Moreover, society will taste my value because I can build customer satisfaction through products and services.
Most people or students give in whenever they face challenges in their endeavors. However, I am a determined and persistent person who ensures that a particular goal is achieved even in difficulties. Therefore, this value differentiates me from other UAE students and the broader populace.
So far, I have acquired the skills necessary for my career. The skills involve; administrative skills, social, and economic analysis. Being administrative helps a company control resources and fulfil the needs in the market. Additionally, being social enables the satisfaction of customer needs by ensuring the availability of the required products. Lastly, I can measure the economic level of a company’s success or failure. To calculate the milestone of my success, I will seek input from people close to me and identify the crucial opinions. Success is a range of meeting your goals. The external factors that can positively impact my success are technology and social. Technology keeps improving, hence making marketing easy. Also, social changes such as changes in taste and fashion increase demand for market researchers.
The contingency and risk mitigation strategies that I will apply in my career include; proper risk assessment, resiliency, and risk acceptance. Risk assessment involves the identification and precise definition of the risk. Resilience in a goal is being elastic to any problems, while risk acceptance is a final scheme of understanding that dangers are unavoidable and can be mitigated ( Yoon et al., 2018).
The ethics I will apply in my daily actions include obeying the company’s rules, proper communication, trustworthiness, and accountability. If I were to choose my mentors, it would be some of my family members and world leaders, such as Warren Buffett. I would choose those people because of their inspiring success and the ease to network with them.
