Reasons why I chose this pathogen
I chose the virus because I desire to know more about how it causes several infections, many of which are contagious such as meningitis, yellow fever, HIV and AIDS, measles, chickenpox and the common cold.
I also desire to know how virus uses the components of the host cell to replicate.

Origin of replication: The starting point for the replication of DNA
Multiple cloning sites: A plasmid’s place where a DNA sequence, usually a gene, can be put.
Selectable marker: Maintains the plasmid cells.
Role of each plasmid feature in bacterial genetics and genetic engineering in producing human insulin
Analysis of virulence factors of microorganisms
Adherence factors: Fimbriae help pathogenic bacteria adhere to cells and colonize mucosal sites. (Peterson, 2016).
Invasion factors: The bacterium’s surface components enable it to infiltrate host cells.
Capsules: Bacteria are protected from opsonization and phagocytosis by capsules that enclose them.
Endotoxins: Gram-negative bacteria lipopolysaccharide endotoxins
Siderophores: Pathogenic bacteria produce or secrete a variety of protein toxins and enzymes.
