Introduction
Mental Health is a continuously growing concern in the population. Self-Care is an important factor to the overall health and wellbeing of one’s mental health. Mental health illness and disorders affect every aspect of daily life. Globally, 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illnesses each year and especially after the worldwide global pandemic it was reported that more than half of Americans report that COVID-19 has had a negative impact on their mental health (National Alliance on Mental Illness, n.d.). Therefore, proper self-care in association to mental health is important to promote a better lifestyle, improved health, self-awareness, and helps to manage the symptoms of mental disorders associated to mental health.
