Design a simple survey with 4-5 questions that you will use to collect data.

Example: Age – gender – number of text messages sent per day – hours of TV per day – phone brand . You are free to choose whatever topic you want, just make sure it is easy enough that you will be able to collect data from 20-30 people quickly

Tabulate the data in an Excel sheet.

Example:

35 – male – 24 texts – 3 hours – Iphone 

22 – female – 12 texts – 0 hours – Samsung

Perform some basic description of the data (summary statistics, charts…); describe some findings.

Example

On average in my sample, people spend 2.1 hours watching TV. Male spend 2 hours while female spend 2.3 hours. 

Do you think you can generalize these findings about the entire American population? The worlds’ population? Why or why not?

Build a 95% confidence interval and a 99% confidence interval of one of the variables that you are measuring. Interpret and explain.
