Full Title of Paper

Begin the first paragraph of your rural paper with a half-inch indent. Avoid the temptation of using the heading “Introduction” at the start of your paper. Your first sentence is what should immediately follow the title. A paragraph is a minimum of 4-5 sentences. Let the reader know exactly what will be discussed in the paper.

Definition of Rural

Discuss and define rural and urban as noted in sources. Also, comprehensively describe your own definition of rural and urban and the rural populations located in your area of employment or community. You will demonstrate your understanding of rural populations by identifying health concerns and unique problems faced by persons living in rural settings.

Health Topics Impacting Rural Americans

Section two (2) requires you to comprehensively state, describe, and explain three (3) different health topics impacting rural Americans. You need to relate your chosen health topics to rural populations located in your area of employment or community in which you live.

Interventions for Rural Patients

Choose only one (1) of the identified health topics from section two (2) and comprehensively discuss three (3) interventions for the one (1) identified health topic that you could implement for rural patients. Provide clear identification and detailed overview of the intervention and related topic. Example- A topic and objective chosen in Section 2 is Family Planning. An intervention is Teen Pregnancy Prevention. The paper would include clear identification of the intervention, an overview of the intervention, and discussion of how this chosen intervention applies to rural nursing.

Conclusion

Your conclusion section should be a brief, 1-2 paragraph summary of what has been presented in your paper. You want to hit the sections covered, and do not include any new material.
