In her book, Coffee Culture: Local Experiences, Global Connections
, Catherine Tucker establishes that coffee is an integral part of life for producers and consumers around the world, and it is the world’s second most valuable commodity produced by developing countries. Tucker also explained that Trans-national corporations purchase the majority of coffee beans in the market, although some of these giant corporations are not known for their coffee brand.
FINAL WRITING ASSIGNMENT
Write an expository research paper to explain the role of Trans-national corporations in the business world and society, as a whole. Use details from those articles you read and assessed in your annotated bibliography to write a 4 – 5 page research paper.
The paper should focus on Two (2) specific and clear ideas. In a additional paragraph, discuss one argument to show how TNCs negatively or positively impact the coffee industry. Refer to all of the essays you did this semester for valuable and reusable details. Your essay must include details from all FIVE (5) sources (refer to the annotated bibliography). Details from chapter 5 in Tucker’s book may be included in the paper. Be sure to summarize Tucker’s ideas and establish this source as the main source in your paper. The summary must be placed in a paragraph after the introductory paragraph.
Your research paper should follow this Six paragraph organizational pattern

Conclusion
Each paragraph should be 10-15 lines long. Quote and paraphrase specific details from the readings you have read in this course to support your discussion. No long quotations. Do not rely on the writer’s words or ideas to make your point. Use your understanding of all the details you have read and what you have learned to create your discussion.
Be sure to explain how you feel about the negative or positive idea you have decided to discuss. Include your thoughts concerning the ideas you write about and your own sense of reasoning to justify your own opinion.
If a paragraph it too long, then you may divide it into two. Each paragraph needs indenting.
Create a Works Cited page to reflect the sources you included in your paper. Do not include more that 5 sources. These sources should be the ones from the Annotated Bibliography.
Use correct MLA formatting is required (See chapter 28)
Be sure to do the following:
-Indent each paragraph (using the Tab key)
– All lines in the paper should be equally double spaced. Do not place extra spaces between paragraphs.
– Use size 12 font / Times New Roman
– Pay attention to punctuation and upper-case letters
– Proofread your paper. Use Grammarly online App for grammar assistance.
When complete, this paper should contain the following
An MLA title page. (Google MLA Title Page) Create a title for your paper
Paper should have 7 paragraphs
An MLA Works Cited Page
Save paper on your desktop before loading (doc., pdf, or rtf)
