Using the work of bell hooks (third wave), explain how feminism as a “movement to end sexism” might be a useful way forward from the second wave.

Identify and explain three problems with our criminal justice system. Similarly, from the course readings, identify and explain three arguments for the abolition of police and prisons. How does these problems, and solutions, seek to address the past and present history of the criminal justice system in the United States?

[Cumulative Question] What is the role of the media in maintaining US norms around policing and the military? Provide examples. For both (policing and US militarism/nationalism) what is the purpose (or function) and what are the consequences of the dominant media view? Connect your response to at least two aspects of the course we discussed earlier in the semester.
