Introduction and Thesis Statement
The introduction and use of digital learning tools in schools have mixed reactions among Saudi Arabian learners, with students having divided opinions. Intending to enhance the learning process to facilitate better performance, the Saudi Arabia government has introduced various digital learning tools such as scientific calculators, smartboards, computers and handheld devices. Although these digital tools are assumed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the education system, users, who are the students, have developed mixed reactions with a good percentage of them in support of the opinion. In contrast, others have a different perception that they negatively affect the learning process, among other issues. The most common technologies used today in classrooms are social networking, podcasting, online teaching, class blogs and wikis, and mobile devices. The document, therefore, tends to determine students’ perception of the use of educational technology in Saudi Arabia.

There are numerous digital learning tools that Saudi Arabia’s ministry of communications and information technology has considered to ensure digital advancement. That is through partnerships with global technology companies to increase the Kingdom’s adoption of digital technology (Al‐Mamary et al., 2021). Apart from developing learning software and applications that support students inside the classroom, some of those tools used include computers, laptops, Seesaw, Google Classroom, Flipgrid, and even podcasting.
Positive Impact of Digital Learning Tools in The Learning Process
There is a range of positive impacts on digital learning tools, as elaborated by various Saudi Arabian students who got contacted through the interview process. For instance, through the use of those tools in learning, the education system has been improved to offer quality instruction in diverse fields that helps in preparing students for life and work (Yu, Niemi, & Mason, 2019).

The use of technology has transformed education by enhancing effective collaboration between teachers and students, thereby improving instruction and personalizing learning. Through online lessons and learning games, students get an opportunity to work together to solve problems (Al‐Mamary et al., 2021).

Students can access educational resources 24/7. That enables them to have more time to learn or engage in additional research studies. Hybrid learning versions enable students to attend classes from anywhere, from their respective locations via laptops or even mobile devices. Teachers can create lessons depending on the strength and interests of their students.
Curiosity Driven by Engaging Content
Through the use of modern technology in the learning process or schools, teachers are in a better position to enhance or boost children’s curiosity and spark inquisitiveness in them. Curiosity is very significant in the student learning process since it assists them in better understanding math and reading concepts.

Another significant or positive impact on the use of digital tools in learning is that it improves the productivity and efficiency of teachers. Through practical application, teachers can leverage technology to achieve new levels of productivity. As indicated by various research materials and opinions from various parts of Saudi Arabia, technology may negatively change education. Below are some of the common ways through which technology can negatively affect or impact the learning process

Therefore, it is a significant move to adopt digital learning tools since it has a substantial stake in students’ social and educational lives (Alhamed, 2020). That has raised a heated concern about the effect or impact of its use, with students having varying perceptions. There are various measures through which digital learning tools can get effectively put into practice to make it acceptable by all stakeholders by limiting the challenges.

Educational Technology- The use of modern technology or technology-related concepts and tools in the learning process. That involves the use of computer hardware, software, and educational theory and practice in facilitating learning.
Digital Learning Tools- This refers to a range of recommended modern technology materials like software, apps, electronics like laptops, computers, and even google suite, which can assist students in their learning process. That is by enhancing effective communication, engagement, collaboration, and curriculum creation in any context.
Social Isolation- This refers to the absence of social contact created by the use of technology which provides an opportunity for learners and tutors to effectively coordinate, engage, or even communicate from different locations. As a result, it creates loneliness.
Educational Environment- This refers to the general components of the physical environment and emotional and intellectual climates. Based on this case, the educational climate includes various physical assets, context, and values through which student gets to receive knowledge or education.
