Brief History of Facebook?
The technology has improved and made it easy for inventions in the networking sector for easy socialization. Facebook is a networking site that has helped the world connect and share information with their friends and families (Gartenberg, 2019). The app was invented by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 and was purposed to connect people worldwide for communication and sharing of business ideas. I chose this app because it is widely spread, and many people have access to it.
The Target Audience, Their Demographics, and Psychographics
According to Ashley Poland, in a survey done in 2012, the average age of Facebook was 35 years old, which was 65% of the population on the site. The survey also showed that the female gender had the highest percentage (Poland, 2019). Facebook psychographics show that there are more than 2.7 billion users of Facebook monthly. Their demographics show that there are more than 1 billion users on Facebook globally.
Messages Sent by Facebook to Its Audience
The Facebook app communicates to its clients through notifications that give crucial information to Facebook users. Facebook also uses ads to tell the users of any upgrades to the Facebook accounts for better services.
Facebook Opportunities
Facebook Inc. can improve its services by diversifying its services and making social media advertisements to capture a larger audience. The company can also innovate products that are attached to its services to increase its revenue realization (Young, 2018). Higher market penetration can improve the revenues and boost the financial standing of the company.
Technology Used by Facebook
Facebook has used its popularity to exploit the larger and available market in the world. The app has used the Oculus VR technology that is used in virtual reality to boost businesses. However, in its establishment and maintenance, Facebook has used different technologies, including JavaScript, that helped program the user interface hence making it easy for the users.
How Facebook works
Facebook has established a user interface that allows people to upload their business and personal information, including videos, pictures and then allows the person to communicate with their fellows. Facebook helps Facebook users add friends, create a profile for its users, enable them to chat and reach out to each other through the messaging tab and finally give the users the ability to set their accounts as per their preference.
Facebook users get motivation from Facebook through getting a variety of options when seeking content. The accessibility of a lot of information through a search toolbar has helped many people search for different content (Gartenberg, 2019). However, when people intend to be part of Facebook users, they need to sign up with their credentials, including their names, number or email, and a password. To get access to Facebook, one should have internet access that can permit them to enter into the Facebook interface. The likely competitors of Facebook include Snapchat that enjoys huge followership globally.
Brief History of Facebook
Mark Zuckerberg established Facebook in 2004 while he was at Harvard University (Gartenberg,2019). And it has registered improvement since its establishment, getting the highest followership globally with 1 billion users.
