Employee Motivation

Motivation aids in the direction, control, and maintenance of behavior. Behavior is influenced by perceptions and emotions, which is an important aspect of motivation. In the workplace, motivation is important because it ensures that personal and professional goals are met. A company should establish a comprehensive approach to compensating and motivating its employees (Weathington & Weathington, 2020). The most intrinsically motivating factor is working for a company that values its employees. Extrinsic motivators, on the other hand, such as a salary, paid time off, and health benefits, contribute to intrinsic aid motivation.

Rationale

According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, once basic needs are met, the value of job enrichment and similar approaches rises. Challenging and rewarding work allows people to achieve their goals, meet their self-esteem needs, and pave the way to self-actualization. This will inspire me to meet my personal and professional objectives. Intrinsic motivation, which includes satisfaction and accomplishment, reflects employees’ psychological mindsets due to their job performance. The three businesses I’ve chosen offer a variety of advantages. I want to work for them because their benefits match my intrinsic motivational factors. Working for a company that encourages me to be creative and innovative is critical. Apple is the best place to work to become a creative and innovative person (Kremer, Villamor, & Aguinis, 2019). Training and advancement are very important to me as an intrinsic reward. Wal-Mart Logistics is also attractive because it offers advancements, training, and relocation assistance if needed. They also offer a tuition reimbursement plan to help me further my education (Pandey, Dillip, Jayant, Vashishth, Nikhil, Qi, & Qhi, 2021). JB Hunt offers benefits like training, which will help me advance in my career. Learning and earning certifications gives me what I consider to be an intrinsic reward, which makes me proud of my work (Hamid & Hosna, 2021).

Attracting the Right Talent

The companies provide intrinsic and extrinsic benefits which allow the company to attract the right employees. One gains self-satisfaction and performs their work diligently when they are fulfilled. Employees will also feel appreciated because they care about and promote their well-being.
