Overview and Rationale
For this assignment, the team will create a comprehensive Project Scope Management presentation to present senior management [Project Sponsor or organization’s project governance] for review and approval.

Assignment Overview and Tasks:
Overview: Each team will create and present (in W6) an overview of project scope, business goals, major stakeholders and recommendations for next seps.
Presentation’s audience – The Project Sponsor for the Case Project
Tasks: Each team – please create a 10-14 slides MS PowerPoint formatted team presentation outlining the following required elements:
Executive Summary: 1 slide outlining what you will present in this presentation – e.g., your proposed scope for the Case Project and a summary of the scope management processes that you used to define scope and will use to manage scope.
Scope Definition Processes: 1-slide outlining the specific scope management processes, tools & techniques the team used to develop the project scope.
Scope Statement: Define the scope of your Case Project. 2-3 slides that effectively outline all necessary elements for your project’s Scope Statement. Show how this scope (e.g., Solution) addresses the business Problem originally identified by the project sponsor and how it will achieve the business Goals defined by the Project Sponsor.
WBS: Include a summary WBS in the Presentation. In addition, select one Work Package and decompose to Activities
WBS Handout: Create a Word.doc file of your complete WBS – e.g., all deliverables decomposed to at least level 3.
Scope Management Process: 2-3 slides discussing how you plan to formally and effectively manage project scope changes to prevent project Scope Creep. (Hint: Outline of Project Scope Change Control process would be expected)
Example of Scope Tradeoff: 1 recommended scope tradeoff (cost/schedule or reduced scope) for sponsor review and approval.
Class Lessons Learned: 1-2 summary slides with specific lessons learned outlining the top 3 most important scope management processes, tools & techniques that you learned in this class and that you could readily apply in a real-world project.
Conclusion Slide: 1-2 slides outlining how effective project scope management is critical to project planning integration.

Presentation must be in Microsoft PowerPoint (.PPT) format,
Presentation must have either detailed speaker notes or a narration,
Professional presentation formats are expected. Reminder, the presentation will be graded mostly on content versus the team’s ability to make wondaful presentation slides.
