His work has spanned decades. He was a researcher for the American Bar Foundation study, he worked with O.W. Wilson in Chicago and then later he developed problem-oriented policing (POP). For this activity, you will view videos of Herman Goldstein (aka “father of POP”) highlighting the evolution of contemporary American policing. We will go into more detail about POP later in the semester. Instructions: Step 1: Watch the video interview with Dr. Herman Goldstein. Allow yourself at least an hour and 15 minutes to watch the video. Be sure to take notes while you are watching so that you can answer the questions below.
