For this week’s reflection paper, students should wrote about on their own experiences with “care” during their education and compare and contrast these experiences with the descriptions provided in the articles. What kind of support did you receive from professionals outside of the classroom during your undergraduate experience? Discuss both what was good and what was lacking – and how each of those impacted your success and/or overall experience.
Next, consider how different institutions (those represented in the video, in the writings, and in the student’s personal experience) fulfill their mission of student care. For example, what type(s) of institution did you attend? Do you think that institutional type made a difference in the way in which you were supported? How so? Or why not?
