Assignment: How does setting affect/contribute the plot of the chosen story? Note: Remember that setting is not the only place in which a story occurs. It is also mood, weather, time, and atmosphere. These things drive other parts of the story.
How to get it started:
Choose a story and discern all the elements of the setting.
Describe in what three ways the setting contributes to the plot.
Formulate a thesis about setting and these three areas.
Provide support in the body paragraph(s).
