Case Study

Briskhill Resource Centre (Briskhill) is an independent limited company who provide service to local communities and small businesses. They are funded primarily by central and local government and European grants. The services they provide include, employment support, training and upskilling, enterprise support for business start-ups and support for community groups.

Briskhill have a very good working culture and dedicated, loyal employees. Every year they reward their employees why hosting an awards night, where they present employees with service year awards for five- and ten-years service. They also give several special awards based on employee performance and dedication over the year.

This year there are six employees receiving five-year awards and three employees receiving ten-year awards. Each of the service awards will receive a one-for-all voucher to the value of 500 euro for 5 years and 1,000 euro for ten years.

They will also present one employee with an outstanding achievement award and two employees with merit awards. These awards will be cut class bowls that will be inscribed with their names and the date.

The event will take place in a hotel located near the company office. All 200 employees will be invited to the awards night. Drinks and finger food will be served. After the awards ceremony is over there will be music and dancing until 12pm.

Task

Create a project plan for the case study project outlined above to include the following:

You will provide a description of what is in scope for the project. Detailing what is in scope and what is out of scope. The scope statement must also include the quality requirements for the product of the project (e.g. the final product, service or result of the project).

You must define how changes to the scope will be managed. The project plan must also include a milestone chart, showing the dates that the key deliverables for the project will be completed, a cost spend chart, detailing a breakdown of the project costs over a period (minimum 6 weeks), a list of stakeholders, detailing their role and responsibility on the project, a communication plan based on the stakeholder needs.

provide a table detailing the risk impact and probability scales that you used to perform qualitative analysis of the project risks, include a detailed risk register, which includes risk identifier, description, impact and probability score and ranking, risk strategy, response plan and status of the risk.

You need to describe how the project progress was measured, how it was evaluated and the lessons learned.
