Digital Poster On Wastewater Management Introduction Wastewater management is a crucial part of modern society. It ensures the quality of our water supply, reduces pollution in rivers and lakes, and helps prevent the spread of disease. Wastewater management involves the collection, treatment and disposal or reuse of wastewater from domestic, commercial or industrial sources. The goal of wastewater management is to ensure that all available resources are put to their best use while minimizing the potential for environmental pollution. Types of wastewater; Wastewater can come from many sources, including households, businesses, industries, and agricultural activities. The aim of the paper is examine wastewater management practices. Methodology The purpose of this study is to explore the feasibility of utilizing wastewater management as a means of attaining sustainability. To do so, a systematic review journal articles and other reports related to sustainability will be conducted in order to arrive at a viable solution. Expected Findings ? To ensure that industries and factories adopt sustainable practices that will protect water resources from pollution ? Correct disposal of waste has been adopted in the recent years making the environment to be clean and free of contaminations. Preliminary findings Environmental effects Wastewater management can have a direct impact on water resources, air quality, soil condition, biodiversity and human health. Poorly managed wastewater discharges may lead to eutrophication or algal blooms in rivers, lakes and oceans. These can decrease oxygen levels leading to fish kills or create an ecological imbalance which can harm aquatic life. In terms of air quality, wastewater contains a variety of gaseous elements that may be toxic to humans or the environment. Airborne pathogens and other contaminants may become aerosolized when wastewater is released in the atmosphere, leading to an increase in respiratory illnesses or allergies. Science Impact on Sustainability Waste management is one of the most important aspects of sustainability. It not only affects environmental sustainability but also social and economic sustainability. Waste management has a direct impact on the environment through emissions, hazardous waste disposal, and landfilling. Uncontrolled waste can have negative impacts on our natural resources, polluting the air and water, while contributing to global warming. This can affect the water sources and the aquatic life.
