Generative AI platform ChatGPT will be used to generate answers to the following topics
(see attached file at the bottom of the assignment description):
• Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the “six-forces model” for formulating business strategy. Apply the model to real cases.
• “Core competences are an interesting idea but are quite hard to identify in practice.” Discuss using real examples from business to support your arguments.
• “Strategic Management is 90 percent execution and 10 percent formulation”. Discuss with relevant examples.
• Using relevant and real examples, explain the pros and cons of platform business models for society
• Use real examples for and against the claim that M&A contributes to overall strategic value creation.
Choosing ONE of the above topics, participants will be asked to improve the answer provided by ChatGPT for that topic in the following ways:
1. Adding new arguments/logics/explanations not offered by ChatGPT.
2. Supporting the improved answer by integrating additional readings based on the participant’s own research. The additional readings should include a combination of at least 2 research based/academic readings with a minimum number of additional 5 (five) sources.
3. Supplementing ChatGPT’s answer by integrating the participant’s own professional/practical experience in the form of ‘real world’ examples
4. Making use of the readings and case materials from the course to support their improved answers.
5. You are expected to re-write answer and not copy-paste the ChatGPT answer!
