You can use your work schedule as a reference. Please do not submit your organization’s work schedule. This assignment should be your original schedule created on a scheduling application and/or template.
Write a 1 to 2 full page rationale from top to bottom for selected shift hours and nurse-to-patient ratios for your selected unit supported by a minimum of 2 current (published within the last five years) scholarly journal articles.
Staff schedule should have the following:
Header (including unit, census, nurse-to-patient ratios)
At least 5 staff members
Shifts identified as 8 hours, 10 hours, or 12 hours
Days or Month
Days off or vacation of staff (PTO/DTO/FMLA)
