Each week a student will present in post conference on one of the following subjects:
Medical Surgical
Sign up for a topic with your med surg instructor so that they are not duplicated:
1. The impact of telehealth on patient outcomes in primary care.
2. The use of music therapy to manage pain in post-operative patients.
3. The effectiveness of mindfulness-based stress reduction in reducing stress and anxiety in healthcare workers.
4. Combating healthcare-associated infections: a community-based approach.
5. The impact of nurse-led discharge education on readmission rates for heart failure patients.
6. Use of oxygen to help with hypoxia and organ failure in patients with COPD.
7. Management of angina.
8. Protocols regarding alarm fatigue,
9. Recognition of a family member’s influence on a patient’s presentation of symptoms.
10. Noninvasive measurement of blood pressure in children.
You must make some kind of presentation le PPT, flyer, article that you wrote, or a brouchure. You will present your topic and evaluate student
knowledge on what they learned.
