The objective of the journal assignment is to sharpen your sensitivity to language system and communication in your immediate surrounding. You have to record your linguistic observation, and discussion. You should be sensitive to different language uses in real life situation, be able to dig them out and tackle them professionally and academically. The journal is to be written and typed in English with possible data in other languages. Glosses should be inserted for data in languages other than English or Chinese.
