Course Survey Data Summary and Preparation for Lab Report 1
In this activity, you will practice generating a data summary based upon the survey created for the course. This activity will also help you practice doing the types of analyses required for the upcoming Lab Report 1 assignment.
Please note that this activity requires written explanations, screen capture images, and SPSS output and graphs.

Create one (1) document that includes a numbered and labeled list of deliverables, in this order:
Develop a research question and hypothesis about health/health behaviors among BBH students. You did this in Lesson: Metric Validation and Class Survey Design, but you may need to revise your question and hypothesis based on the actual questions that were included in the class survey.
Use the class survey and data to choose predictor and outcome variables that will allow you to test your hypothesis.
Identify the predictor and outcome variables you will use in this exercise by name and label.
Explain whether you needed to do any data cleaning or recoding and how you did so, if needed. This might include recoding value labels for consistency.
A screen capture showing the name, label, and values of your predictor variable (Variable View) after any necessary recoding.

A codebook entry for your predictor and outcome variables. You may use SPSS to generate the codebook for your variables or you can make your own entry that gives this information for each variable:
the variable name,
survey question wording,
possible response options, and
any coding.
Table of descriptive statistics for your predictor variable.
Table of descriptive statistics for your outcome variable.
Histogram of your predictor variable with a brief description of what it shows.
Histogram of your outcome variable with a brief description of what it shows.
State the appropriate test for association between your predictor and outcome variables and explain how you know this is the right test.
Table(s) of output for your test for association between the predictor and outcome variables (for example, correlation output or t-test output).
A brief written description of the data presented.
