One of the key differences between the Confucian approach and that of Hinduism is the role certain metaphysical assumptions (about reality, the universe, existence etc) play or do NOT play in their understanding of Human Nature. The Confucian approach is almost entirely Non-dependent on such grand and abstract questions whereas in the Hindu tradition, these metaphysical questions are paramount for locating the meaning and nature of The Self (the human self). Elaborate on this distinction by explaining how either the LACK or PRESENCE of such metaphysical questions translates to their specific views of/about human nature (including diagnosis and prescription).
