PROMPT: This week, the minimum guideline for the length of your post is three paragraphs with at least five sentences in each paragraph.
Chapter 14 addresses social media, which is still relatively new in terms of the research available. In your first paragraph, after reading Chapter 14, comment on how you believe social media may influence thought and behavior. Please include examples from your personal experience and examples from your readings.
In your second paragraph, focus on how to analyze the influence of social media and how to understand and interpret data related to social media. Refer back to the articles you were assigned to read. Focus on the information of most interest to you and discuss one of the following or another topic from the readings:
How would you see using UX to develop or improve a media-related project? Be specific. For example, if you are creating a website, what kind of website might that be, and how would you assess the user experience and use that information to develop and improve your website?
Select a specific social media app that interests you or that you often use. What kind of data would you want to collect in order to assess the success of the app or best promote the app? How would you collect the data and how would you use it?
In your third paragraph, focus on what is next for you. Consider your Chapter 15 reading and comment on what you see as the most critical future research and study in media psychology as a whole. Then comment on how you see your current and future career as being informed and influenced by media psychology and/or social media, as one aspect of media psychology.
