What I want you to do:
After you have read Chapter 12 (Early Theatre; Asian) and watched the video above answer the questions below using what you have learned in the chapter and the video.
Questions to answer:
1. Identify and describe the predominant theatre of early India?
2. Identify and discuss two aspects of early Chinese Theatre, prior to the Yuan Dynasty.
3. No Theatre and Kabuki Theatre are the two types of early Japanese theatre that are closely related. Name one way they are the same and one way they are different?
4. Compare and contrast Asian Theatre to Greek and Roman Theatre. What elements are the same and what elements are different? Be sure to include not only the script/plot but sets, costumes, stages and the physical theatre structures.
