This is a 2-page typed double-spaced paper using 12-point font. Papers must be submitted via Canvas using a .docx format. Late papers will not be accepted. Note that Turnitin will evaluate your assignment for possible plagiarism. Remember, that a failure on this assignment will result in a failing grade for the class. Students who do not pass the assignment cannot pass the course.

B. Please provide typed written responses to the following 5 items. Label each item 1-5:
Identify the source publication, title of the article, and author/s. Then, write a topic sentence that explains the author’s main idea regarding the economic issues/problems identified in the article. Then, as part of your introduction, provide an overview of the article that critically evaluates the issues/problems by clearly and comprehensively describing all relevant information necessary to have a full understanding of the article. In determining the author’s main idea, apply at least one major economic theory you learned in class. Bold/highlight the major theory in your paper. (GELO 1&3).
Discuss how the evidence presented in the article supports the author’s main idea. In discussing the evidence presented, write a minimum of 4 sentences summarizing the author’s supporting detail/evidence. Use at least 4 vocabulary words and BOLD/HIGHLIGHT them in your discussion. (GELO 3).
In at least 3 sentences, discuss the context and assumptions of the article. Is the publication source inherently biased? Does the author appear biased? Is the article influenced by the current political/economic environment? Does the author make assumptions that are supported by the evidence presented? (GELO 4).
Write at least 3 sentences that interpret/evaluate the authors’ evidence. Present an argument that specifically addresses areas where you agree or disagree with the author’s perspective and/or evidence presented. How does your view of this issue/problem compare with the author’s views? Offer evidence from the text/class discussion to support your position. (GELO 2).
Write at least 3 sentences to draw conclusions as you reflect on the article and your reaction to the author’s perspective and evidence provided (GELO 5).
