This essay is about personal freedom issue, and the personal freedom issue I choose is privacy. and the question that is focused on this outline is “Should Americans be prepared to sacrifice some privacy in exchange for improved security?”
Things that should be included in the outline is (this can be used for the background or issue for the outline) discussing how and why our privacy is critical, how the internet plays a role in this problem, then going into the dilemma because the laws could allow the government to access personal information, going into the pros and cons of both sides; why more protection over our freedom/privacy may possibly operate, and why some Americans oppose more security over our freedom/privacy, and some Americans feel that this is not right, while others support it. However, the important things that have to be included in the outline is define the issue, include both side A and B (for example side A would be Americans should sacrifice privacy for exchange for improved security. Side B would be others thinks it should not be sacrificed. MUST have three argument, Opposing View (Counterclaim), rebuttal. NOTE: you don’t need to find any citations, just have topic sentence for each one. I also have done my research proposal, and I the outline templet I upload it in the file and the other one is an example of how it should look like.
