You will be required to write a 1,250 word (approximately 5 pages double-spaced) argumentative research paper. You need a thesis (an argument you are trying to prove), sources, and logical analysis.
The topic you will be writing on is the concept of religious tolerance during the Colonial and Early Republic Era of US History. Tolerance looked very different than it does now. I want you to read the book I have attached at the bottom and point to how religious tolerance is different than it is now and whether religious tolerance is a beneficial aspect to our culture.
Formatting is Times New Roman 12 point font, double-spaced, with 1″ margins. I DO NOT want you to use MLA format. I prefer Chicago format, but as long as you have footnotes for every citation that specifies where exactly you located the information, I am fine. Make sure that the majority of your sources are scholarly.
