Instructions
Step 1:
Based on your reading of Chapter 9, give a general introduction to digitization: What is it? How is it different from analog? What are a couple of examples of the shifts it has brought about in the media industries – in production, distribution, or use? This section should be fairly substantial and include supporting evidence/quotes from the chapter.
Step 2:
Select a segment from the documentary “Coded Bias” or the DIY video “What do strangers think of Hood Siri?”
Discuss/analyze it by using three of the above terms.
Step 3:
Give your opinion of the usefulness or dangers in such digital innovations as facial recognition, and voice assistants like Siri.
