Mountain cable cars have been installed around the world. Kilimanjaro is the tallest peak in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, at a height of 19,341 feet (5,895 meters) above sea level. As such, it draws tens of thousands of climbers from around the globe annually with hopes of reaching the summit, Uhuru Peak. Would the installation of a cable-car destroy this natural environment or allow more people to enjoy it? Should remote areas of the world be made to be more accessible to tourists? Why or why not?
