Why are females more likely to persist within postsecondary education?
What factors relate specifically to the success of minority students in general and Black and Hispanic students in particular? Are there differences in “going to college” and retention rates among these ethnic groups? Are there differences within these groups based on gender?
How important are developmental or remedial courses to student success and retention? What percentages of students take these courses?
What are the most critical factors which determine whether a first-year student persists into his or her sophomore year?
